Super low profile. Unique, BIG Flanger Ride hammering. And it plays like a paperthin when struck.
Apparently the Flanger Ride debuted in 2001, and has since disappeared. Which sucks because this was the craziest, darkest sounding cymbal Paiste ever made.
Paiste described this cymbal as:
"A new model, the Flanger Ride, was added as well, providing a Ride cymbal in this category for the first time. It features an unusually soft surface tension, which gives it extremely unique sound, function and feeling. Every model in this series is an innovation in itself in that it expands the sound possibilities based on the basic cymbal shape. The professional class cymbals in this series are produced from a variety of alloys and are hand hammered and hand lathed in the traditional Paiste way. They are targeted at all drummers and percussionists who want fresh and unusual sounds to creatively expand their cymbal set."
